This movie was an absolute blast from start to finish
Short review: The synopsis for ‘What You Wish For’ was so vague that I really had no idea what to expect going into it. The little I got about a chef with a gambling problem assuming someone’s identity didn’t even scratch the iceberg.
I don’t think I’ll ever forget the moment the ball drops in this movie
It was said so casually and acted out so calmly that I thought I must have heard or misunderstood. However, I didn’t, and from there on I was in for a wild ride.
I really enjoyed this
The movie is dark, but also often hilarious. It strikes a great balance in how seriously it takes itself, definitely leaning heavily towards the serious side, but just enough edgy moments to make you realize how out of place an idea it is. 9/10.
